Awesome Paws Rescue in Buffalo NY
It’s the end of work week so Find a Friend Friday is here! This week we are featuring pups from Awesome Paws Rescue in Buffalo NY. They adopt out within an hour of the Buffalo area and are strictly no-kill (which gets our tails waggin’!) focusing on bringing in dogs from the South that are at risk in high-kill shelters and fostering them in homes.
Our adoptable featured friends this week are Grizzly, Tracker and Poppy! We really want to find these cuties new best friends!
Grizzly
Grizzly, a 10 years-young, 8 lb chihuahua mix is the happiest guy you’ll ever meet! He adores other dogs of all sizes and is so loving – his favorite pastime is cuddling up close to people! He’s crate trained and is actively working on potty training and making such good progress. Despite his age, he still has a lot of pluck and energy – small size, huge heart! If you want a dog that is a willing playmate, but also loves to curl up and cuddle with you, then look no further than Grizzly the Great. Apply to be his new bud here!
Tracker
His name is Tracker and he is a very handsome 3 year-old Mountain Cur weighing 46 lbs – he’s very healthy! He came up from West Virginia in search of a loving forever home, somewhere he will truly be appreciated and be able to return that love. He’s good with other dogs, kids, and even ok with the cat he lives with in his foster home! He’s doing very well with indoor manners – his foster mom and dad are always saying he is such a good boy and they give him lots of hugs too. He even knows a few commands, such as sit and come. He sleeps soundly in the crate every night. His foster family throws a treat into the crate and he runs in there knowing it’s time for bed. He LOVES to play with a tennis ball, his Kong Wubba, spend time with his family and chew on a bone! He would thrive in an active home since he really, really loves to go for walks and play around outside. Adopt him here.
Poppy
Poppy, a sweet 8 year-old boy, is just looking for someone to love. Sadly spending most of his life chained up, this sweetheart’s spirit was never dampened and he has so much love to give. He was recently diagnosed with a kidney issue, but needs only a special diet to control. His favorite thing in the world is to share his loving spirit. He has been coming out of his shell beautifully, and it’s clear he does not let his past define who he is today. Just look at those kind eyes! He’s great with kids and dogs, but he is rather scared around men, so single ladies, here’s the new man of your dreams in your life!
