What was your first day like together?
My first day with Walter I brought him over to my friends house to meet all his aunties, and we had a photoshoot. I don't remember much I just remember being riddled with so much anxiety hoping that I didn't make a mistake and that I would be able to do this dog mom life.
How did you choose his name?
Walter Henry Moon Sr is his full name and my friend actually named him when I sent her his picture and said I don't know what his name is but it isn't "sticky bun" which was the name the foundation gave him.
What's your dog's funniest personality trait?
Walter genuinely makes me laugh out loud everyday he is so silly. The funniest thing he does is kangaroo, whenever he walks into places that he knows have dog treats he goes up to counter and stands on his hind leg like a kangaroo until he gets a treat. He knows that move is so cute and someone will give him a treat when he does it. He's a little manipulator.
If your dog had a job, what would it be?
My dog couldn't ever have a job because he sleeps 18 hours a day, if there was a job for him it would be a "cam dog" where he would sleep on live stream and people can watch him.
What's your favorite thing about being a dog Mom?
I love thinking about him and what he needs, it takes me out of myself and into the present moment. Thinking about his walks and what he needs, I really enjoy and find so much meaning in taking care of him.
What's your dog's biggest obsession?
My dog's biggest obsession is ME! Actually, no, it's food he loves rice. I call him Asian in a past life because he loves rice more than a anything and Salmon. He's obsessed with salmon and rice.
What 3 words do you think your dog would use to describe you?
Three words my dog would use to describe me crazy, too affectionate, and loving. I mean he has to know how much I love him I think I annoy him with how many times a day I tell him
What's the most expensive thing your dog has destroyed?
My dog actually chewed up my vacuum cord as a puppy and I had to buy a new vacuum that was pretty annoying, but normally he's only destroyed things of low value and never touches shoes, so I cannot complain.
How did your dog change your life?
He's taught me so much. He really opened my heart tenfold. I love him so much, he's just such a pure sweet soul, he has taught me so much about myself, pure love and being present. He has taught me that its ok to ask for help, as a single dog Mom you really have no choice but to ask for help.
What makes your bond with Walter so special?
I feel like Walter is really my soul dog, him and I were meant for each other. We have such a strong connection where we can look at each other and communicate. I feel like we are both very in tune with each other and protect and care for each other. I also love how silly he is, he knows just by my energy when I'm in a silly mood and he tunes right into it and starts playing it's so sweet.
