Baking Pumpkin Ginger Bestie Biscuits
Looking for some holiday fun? You will have fun mixing up these wholesome treats for your pup, and your pup will love munching them!
Ingredients
3 cups whole wheat flour (or use an alternative flour!)
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 cup pumpkin
1 large egg, beaten
1 tablespoon melted coconut oil
1/4 to 1/2 cup water
Mix the Dough
Preheat oven to 275°F
Combine flour and ginger
In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin, egg and coconut oil.
Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until crumbly.
Mix with mixer on low setting while slowly adding water. Add water until dough comes together, but does not become sticky. Add more flour if the dough gets too sticky!
Make the Biscuits
Spread a thin layer of flour to roll out your dough. Roll out to about 1/4" in thickness. Use your favorite cookie cutters to cut out the cookies! It helps to dip the cookie cutter in some flour before pressing into the dough.😉
Place the cookies on an ungreased baking sheet with a little space between! Bake until lightly browned and the treats feel firm, about 2 hours. You can leave them in the oven after turning the oven off for crispier biscuits - or remove them a little earlier for a softer texture.
All that's left is to let the cookies cool down, and leave them out ready for Santa, but be careful, your bestie may sneak a bite of them before Christmas! Festive baking is the best! We can't wait to see your batch! Don't furget to #friendshipcollar so we can see! Love & friendship x
