Cory & Puddin

♡ Your bestie’s age and breed?

Puddin is seven months old and is a terrier mix

♡ Describe your dog in 3 words!

Spunky, lively, adventurous

♡ What does your daily pup routine look like?

Usually Puddin likes to get up early, so we eat breakfast then we go outside, usually she runs around for a little bit then we come back inside she will sleep for a few hours when I go to class then when I get home we go to the dog park and and she runs around for about an hour or 2 then we come home eat dinner and cuddle till it’s bedtime!

♡ What special things do you need to do for Puddin?

Probably just teaching her place commands, making sure she knows where she is at.

♡ What does Puddin think about meeting new friends?

She LOVES to meet new friends, she does have her favorites tho. one of my cohort friends has a dog named Murphy ( @sir_murph_a_lot ) who she ADORES. Murphy can be a MILE away and Puddin smells him and BOLTS towards him.

♡ How did Puddin find her way to you?

Puddin came to the SPCA with severely infected eyes at 5 to 6 weeks old. She was immediately taken to the vet and it was determined her eyes were causing her a great deal of pain. The infection was so severe it left her completely blind. With her quality of life the center of all the decisions made, it was decided that it would be best to have her eyes removed. A few weeks went by and she was placed for adoption and me and my family went in to meet her. And the rest is history!

♡ Where’s your dog’s favourite place to go?

Hands down the dog park

♡ Have you ever travelled with your bestie?

Yes we will take trips to Dallas together because that’s where my family lives.

♡ What are your top tips for being the best dog dad?

Patience for sure

♡ What does your BFF do that always makes you smile?

Puddin gets really excited when she gets a new toy or chewable, so she will walk around the house making a ADORABLE “awooo awoooo awoooo” noise. I think it’s the cutest thing EVER

♡ Can they do any fun tricks?

Puddin has a few tricks, she can sit, lay down, we have also worked on place commands so telling her to “watch out” or “go up” or “go down” we are currently working on ringing a bell for potty training!

♡ Has she pooped anywhere she shouldn’t have?

Oh YES, thankful not in my bed, probably the worst has been on my bathroom carpet.

♡ What is it like having a dog that cannot see?

Truthfully it’s not much different than owning a regular dog, she LOVES to play with other dogs, loves to play fetch, and chew on toys. I think the biggest difference is having to teach her warning/place commands? Because in a sense when we’re walking I am her eyes and have to warn her if we are going down steps or up steps or if there is something she is going to hit at the dog park.

♡ What was the most surprising thing you learned about Puddin after taking her home?

I think the most surprising thing is that she isn’t scared of much (the vacuum cleaner is a different story tho). She tackles everything head first (literally) and just wants to be treated like any other dog.
