Pumpkin Cookies For Your Pup-kin!
Use fun cookie cutters to make these cookies in the shape of pumpkins, bats, or anything you’d like! You can even decorate them with dog-friendly frosting, such as yogurt mixed with carob powder. 🍫
🎃We used pumpkins and bats for a Halloween vibe! 🦇
PUP FRIENDLY INGREDIENTS -
1 can (15oz) Pumpkin Puree
1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
2 Tablespoons Honey (we used about ½ a banana instead!)
2 Eggs
4 cups flour (we used a mixture of coconut and regular flour, but you can use any flour alternatives for your pooch)
INSTRUCTIONS - Get your BFF to help you with this part!
Preheat the oven to 350*
In a mixer, combine the pumpkin puree, cinnamon, honey, and eggs.
Slowly beat in the flour.
Spread a thin layer of flour on the counter - make sure you use enough flour, this dough can be a little sticky!
Roll out a portion of the dough until ¼" thick.
Use your favorite cookie cutters to cut shapes!
Use a cookie sheet with either parchment paper or a baking mat (baking mats are really awesome!)
These cookies don't spread, so feel free to line them up pretty close together on the sheet.
Bake for 30 minutes, then let sit until cool. If you want a crunchier cookie, turn off the oven and let the cookies stay in the oven until the oven cools down!
We wanted to make some really festive looking bat cookies, so we set aside some dough to mix with carob powder! 🦇 This created super cute chocolate bats! If you want to do this, just add carob powder until the dough is chocolatey enough for you. Everything else stays the same! 😄
These taste so good your bestie may just try and eat them before they are even ready!
