The Coolest Things About Your DogšŸ•

Undecided yet to adopt a dog? We want to help you decide by sharing these cool fun facts about dogs. We know they are smart and loving but they are really cool too! Youā€™ll be surprised how cool dogs can be that you can't help but to take them home.

Dogs have a sense of time

How cool is that? No reminders needed for afternoon walks in the park and play time!. Youā€™ll be surprised that your dog is actually waiting for you for the afternoon walks everyday at the same time.

Manā€™s best friend?Ā

Petting, cuddling, and gazing into their eyes releases oxytocin (i.e the ā€œlove hormoneā€) not only for you, but for them as well. So, don't forget to pet your dogs and gaze to their lovely expressive eyes. Itā€™s good for your heart and your dog too!Ā

Dogs can read our emotions

When your dog looks at your face, they are not always trying to get your attention, sometimes they are taking in your emotions. We hoomans tend to keep our emotions to ourselves. However, there is no need to hide your emotions from your dog, as they can see right through you and they can sense exactly how you are feeling. They understand sadness, happiness and everything in between.. They can sense your emotions, and change of moods. So if you're feeling gloomy donā€™t be shy, just give your dog a hug and you will feel better for sure!

A dog's sense of smell is 10,000 to 100,000 straingerthan hoomans

Amazing isn't it? Dogs are expert sniffers due to the 300 million olfactory receptors in their nose (we have about 6 million) and the part of their brain that is responsible for analyzing smells (it is 40 times greater than ours). Just think of this before you spray your perfume next time!Ā

Thatā€™s why dogs make such incredible helpers. Due to this amazing skills set, they can be trained to be part of a rescue team, they can sniff out specific substances, while others can even smell if a person is sick.Ā

No night vision goggles needed!

Lights off? No problem! Dogsā€™ eyes contain a special membrane, called the tapetum lucidum, which allows them to see in the dark. So never worry or be afraid of turning the lights off. Your dog can see in the dark and watch over you!
