Best friends: Terri and Ghost
❤️ Tell us about your bestie! His bestie's age, and breed? How did you come up with your bestie's name
My bestie is Ghost, he’s 5 months old and a miniature silver dapple dachshund. Me and Ghosts dad are massive Game of Thrones fans and soon we heard John Snow call his direwolf Ghost, we fell in love with the name.
❤️ Can you give us a little backstory behind how you ended up with your dog?
We always knew we wanted a dog and after weeks of searching we came across an advert for Ghost, we saw his little face and we knew he was the one for us.
❤️ Describe your bestie in 3 words!
Loving, Mischievous, Stubborn.
❤️ What do you love most about his character?
He’s so loving and friendly towards other people and dogs, he just wants to be fussed and to play with everyone.
❤️ What is the funniest thing he has ever done?
It has to be when we bought him a new bed, it lasted about 10 minutes. He was chewing it then started walking around the living room with it over his head so we couldn’t see him, it was as if the bed was just moving around, hes so funny.
❤️ What is the naughtiest thing he has ever done?
Chewing everything and anything, but we know he’s still a pup and hopefully will grow out of it once his big teeth come through.
❤️ What’s the most annoying thing he does?
Barking! Nothing there? Well he has to bark at it to make sure, better to be safe haha.
❤️ What are the most common questions you get asked about your dog?
A lot of people have told us they have never seen a dachshund like him before and we are forever been asked about his coloring/coat. The second one is, ‘is he friendly’ but before they’ve finished Ghost is usually rolled on his back waiting for belly rubs from them, he wants all the attention.
❤️ You take beautiful photos! Has your bestie always been the pawfect model?
Yes he learned to sit from a young age so that helps a lot and he knows that treats are always involved, he’s not daft, he’s very food orientated.
❤️ What are your tips on getting beautiful shots and how do you get him to pose for that pawfect pic?
Firstly, never force your dog to do anything they don’t want to do, but my number one tip is treats, treats and more treats, it works a charm.
❤️ Have you taken your bestie on a vacation? Or planning on one soon? Tell us about it!
Yes, Ghost been twice with us now in the Campervan, he’s been to Newquay and we have recently got back from doing the NC500 in Scotland. He’s such a good boy and sleeps most of the time in the van then enjoys the walks exploring.
❤️ Where is your favorite place to go together?
We have a field just behind our house and Ghost is brilliant off the lead so he loves running around and hopping through the grass and I love watching him enjoying himself and having fun.
❤️ What is your favorite activity together?
Walking, its been a struggle but we got there in the end. Ghost used to be extremely stubborn about it and would not walk anywhere, so it’s a great achievement after lots of patience and persistence that he now loves walkies.
❤️ What is the most challenging thing about being a fur mom?
Being a fur mum is basically like having a child, you need eyes in the back of your head. Do not leave shoes, clothes or anything out that you don’t want to be chewed, or the chewing machine will have them, be warned!
❤️ What is the biggest challenge you have had with your dog?
Being stubborn, but we know that is a dachshund trait but it doesn’t make it any easier. He is getting better but Ghost does what Ghost wants, the little monkey, but we still love him very much.
❤️ How has your life changed after you brought your dog home?
For the better, dogs truly are a mans best friend and we have to agree! Its so nice knowing how much he loves us and he knows how much we love him.
❤️ What is the best thing about having Ghost?
The cuddles and how loving he is, he wants to be sat with you or under the covers snuggling. Also, he's our little shadow, you can’t go anywhere without him following you which is so cute.
