ARIES March 21 – April 19

Aries animals are amazing. They’re courageous, enthusiastic, and honest. On the downside, their enthusiasm can cause them to become a bit impatient (anyone have trouble with teaching tricks when your Aries wants to bypass the warning and go right for the treat?) and can be moody.

For the month of April, expect your bestie to be even more eager to spend time with you. Their next few weeks will be consumed with a desire to focus on their human family so be prepared for extra snuggles!

 

TAURUS April 20 – May 21

As a Taurus, your bestie is probably always sure, in control, grounded, and just a touch stubborn. When you say it’s time to play fetch, your dog may remain steadfast in their current hunt for that darn squirrel.

For April, expect your bestie to act with a sense of purpose. They may take an interest in a new hobby, such as chewing the squeakers out of toys, and will be laser-focused in honing that skill until they’re at their best. They may become a bit obsessive, so don’t forget to distract them every once in a while so they do not get too stuck!

 

GEMINI May 21 – June 21

Your Gemini bestie always keeps your guessing! They’re sometimes playful, sometimes chill, sometimes the biggest snuggler, sometimes independent – and never dull!

Heading into April, your Gemni may suddenly be more idealistic than normal. You may catch them daydreaming, bathing in the sun and eyes half closed, thinking fondly of a world of dancing steaks and pools of tennis balls. Don’t take it personally if they are a little more detached – they’re just in their own little world!

CANCER June 21 – July 22

As a Cancer pet parent, you know you have a deeply sensitive friend who is super protective of the family. While they may be slow to warm up to strangers, they value your love and friendship something fierce

Expect them to act even more cautiously in April. They may be reluctant to try new things, go new places, and be extra wary of new people. This doesn’t mean they are out for the count the entire month – just give them some space and time and don’t push them too far if you can help it.

LEO July 23 – August 22

Your Leo bestie loves to be loved! They are bold, outgoing, and always down for a fun playtime.

In April, expect their natural performer tendencies to be dialed up as they will be experiencing high levels of energy and an abundance of exuberance. While they might not be the most focused, they will certainly be happy to accompany you on adventures and will love to hang out at the dog park or have bestie playdates.

VIRGO August 23 – September 22

As a Virgo, your bestie tends to be more introverted and organized. Never one to leave their toys strewn haphazardly about, they also generally prefer nights in than wild playdates with a bunch of other pups.

Plan on your Virgo being extra thoughtful this month. They may take even longer to pick out a toy or a spot to sleep in and will be weighing all their options carefully. They may seem more withdrawn as well, but that is only because they are working out some big puzzles in their head.

LIBRA September 23 – October 22

Always your partner, your Libra bestie seeks harmony and are always willing to please. They are excellent for companionship and are willing learners of new tricks.

They may run into a rough patch, emotionally, in April, so be prepared for them to lean on you even more towards the end of the month. They may not be sure just what existential crisis they’re undergoing, but they’ll seek out your support and your love in big doses. It’s going to be a month of snuggles!

SCORPIO October 23 – November 21

Always your bestie but also always just a few percentage points a mystery, your Scorpio like to keep you guessing. They love to cuddle, but not always, and they want to be the ones to ask you. They are highly intelligent, and so you may notice some pickniness when it comes to trying new toys and treats.

This month they may be weighing their decisions carefully, but will rely on you a little more for support. If it’s playtime and they seem to be a little less enthusiastic, just know it’s because they are feeling more indecisive and will welcome you helping them out by choosing a toy for them.

SAGITTARIUS November 22 – December 21

Full of energy, curiosity, and a zest for life, your Sagittarius bestie keeps you active and happy. They’re pretty open-minded to trying new things, so you know you’ve found an adventure buddy.

PISCES February 20 – March 20

April will be smooth sailing for you guys. Expect to be on the same wavelength and pretty harmonious – your ideas of what to do together will be pretty well-aligned. As a result, your Pisces will be energized by all this positivity so be ready for a full and fun month.
