City Dogs Rescue in Washington DC
It’s everyone’s favorite day – Find a Friend Friday! This week we are featuring pups (and cats!) from City Dogs Rescue in Washington, DC. They adopt only within the DC Metro area and do some amazing work for these deserving besties!
Our adoptable featured friends this week are Professor Edgewood, Cratos, Molly, Fiona, and Rosalyn. We really hope these capital cuties find their new best friends.
Professor Edgewood
This lovable 35 lb, 3.5 year-old dachshund/beagle cross is the real Mr. Steal Yo Heart! He would do best in a quiet rural or suburban home for the right, patient adopter, and that person would be rewarded with unending love, kisses, and snuggles. He adores other dogs as well and will be an excellent doggy friend. He bonds best with females, but will get along with men, as long as he is given time to warm up, is not over-stimulated, and his loving mama is nearby. How can you resist those soft ears and those soulful eyes? 😍
Cratos
Can you say ‘handsome man?’ This smiley 😄 90 lb, 3 year-old American bulldog mix is an affectionate guy who just needs a little time to warm up to people, but given that time he will be your loyal companion. He is playful, patient, loving, and a big ol’ goofball. He gets along well with smaller dogs but can sometimes get nervous around the bigger guys (what a softie at heart!) and is also A+ rated with kids. Cratos needs a quiet suburban or rural home in the greater DC metro area. Are you his new bestie for grin sessions and hugs?
Molly
This absolutely stunning Shepherd mix is 4 years old and 60 lbs of intelligence and love 🤗. She is a goofy snuggle who is building up her spirit and confidence for love but has all the makings of the most loyal of companions. She would thrive in a suburban or rural home and is good with other dogs but not so much a fan of felines. Always eager to please, Molly is incredibly well-behaved and picks up and follows new commands with ease. Once you let her have your heart, she will become your lovingly attached furrever friend. She is mostly cautious and very friendly, and holds a wealth of love in her heart – she just needs her bestie to help her feel strong enough to let it shine. Is that you?
Fiona
Start off with those stunning 👁 eyes! A low-maintenance gal, Fiona loves hangin’ with her humans or bird-watching out of a sunny window. She is a small youngin’ – around 1.5 years old and only 7 lbs! She is good with other cats and is all-together loving, playful, independent, and curious – she even rocks at using the litterbox well! This poor baby came to City Dogs heavily pregnant and has since delivered 6 healthy kittens and is ready for a loving human family of her own. Wouldn’t you love to spend your days with this kind bestie?
Rosalyn
Pets, purrs, and love pretty much sums up this pretty lady who enjoys playing with toys and spending time with her humans! She is 2 years old and 5 lbs of pure beauty. She’s great with dogs, great with kids, and great with other cats – the easygoing trifecta! 🏆 She loves giving love and getting pets and isn’t shy about being vocal when happy or curious. This girl just loves to play so you’ll never have a dull day! Small body, big heart is truly her motto. Who wouldn’t want this fine feline friend?
