Hana, Gumbo, Aslan & Maple
♡ Your besties’ names, age and breed?
Gumbo is a 4 year old Golden Retriever
Aslan is a 5 year old Labrador Retriever
Maple is a 1 year old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever
♡ How are your besties different from each other?
They all love to get attention and get jealous of each other but they are different in their energy levels. Aslan is the laziest, Gumbo is right in the middle and Maple is the most hyper.
♡ Can you share a funny story?
We always get asked if all of them are related and if Gumbo and Aslan are the parents to Maple. Even though they’re both boys and all three dogs are different breeds!!
♡ Can they do any fun tricks?
Yes! Gumbo’s favorite trick is hugging. Maple’s is waving. Aslan loves to shake!
♡ Do you have any tips when travelling with fur babies?
Start small. Do short day trips and then weekend trips nearby and then progress to doing bigger road trips. Always make sure that you are not forcing your dog to do anything that they are not comfortable with. Tailor to their needs, because trust me, a stressed out dog during a trip makes for a stressed out owner!
♡ What’s your pawfect advice for fur-parents with more than one pet?
Work with them individually! We like to make sure the dogs have one on one time and training because it helps them to be better independent dogs and not distracted by each other!
♡ What is the strangest thing they have eaten?
Probably when they ripped open a bottle of fish oil all over the apartment…. It smelt like fish for so long!
♡ Where is their favorite place to go?
The Beach ⛱️ They love running around in the sand since we have dog friendly off leash dog beaches in Oregon.
♡ What is the most challenging thing about being a fur mom?
Not having enough money to buy them everything I want 💸
♡ How do they cheer you up when you’re sad?
They force me to go outdoors and walk them and it always makes me feel better when being out in the fresh air.
♡ What is the best thing about having a dog as a best friend?
Always having someone to talk to and be there for you. Never judging and best of all, you’re always #1 in their eyes!
