Jessie & Lala

♥ Tell us a little bit about Lala. How did you meet?

Lala and I met a year after I inquired about the breed from a reputable breeder in our area. We met along with her three other siblings on September 23rd, 2018. This was before she was Lala, and before she was even known to be ours. I fell in love with her instantly, however the selection process was not as simple as adopting the first dog you wanted.

Luckily, her personality and temperament were also discovered by the breeder to be a perfect fit for us, so on October 5th, when she was 2 months old, Lala came home with us. Our situation was a little bit different, as we live in a condo on the fourth floor; therefore, training was a little different, but Lala settled in quickly.

♥ Does your dog like going to the vet?

LOVES IT. What’s not to love about free treats and a dozen smiling people ready to give you some cuddles?

♥ Describe your dog in three words!

Smiley Fur Noodle 😄

♥ Any top tips for being the best fur parent?

I believe as long as you’re trying to be the best fur parent, you’re probably doing an A-okay job. Everyone tends to be so quick to judge about how other people fur parent, and I wish we could just clear the air, because we’re all trying, and I know so many amazing fur parents who are getting hurt through the judgement of others. Top tip: focus on being the best parent for YOUR fur-baby, not someone else’s

♥ Has she always been the pawfect model?

Believe it or not, she wasn’t. She had a resting upset face until she was 6 months old. She looked so sad, which is hilarious, because she’s now the smiliest dog I know. 😁

♥ Any fun tricks your dog loves to show?

Sitting pretty and waving

♥ What is your favorite activity to do together?

Hiking & exploring BC parks

♥ Tell us something your dog does which always make you smile!

Dive rolls into the grass while we’re out on a walk.

♥ How does your dog greet you when you arrive home?

A thousand licks to the face.

♥ Can you share an amazing experience you had with your dog?

Kayaking with Lala is always an amazing experience. Fresh air, a lake to jump in, islands to explore, and because it’s out of her natural environment, it’s awesome seeing her adapt and trying something new.

♥ Have you ever traveled together?

Yeah, we have been on several road trips. A few have been to the west coast around Vancouver BC to visit family, but our longest road trip was 10 hours driving back home from Medicine Hat, Alberta. Our favourite stops were Banff & Canmore on the way, where we stopped and set up camp.  Driving was a challenge at the beginning for Lala, so this drive into Alberta was a pretty amazing milestone.

♥ Where does she sleep?

In her crate at night and joins us in the morning before breakfast.

♥ If your dog could talk, what do you think she would say? And what would your reply be?

She would tell me to tone down the sing and dance sessions I have in the kitchen.🎵 I’d probably take her suggestion. But until those words come out of her mouth, what she knows doesn’t hurt me. Lol.

♥ Complete the sentence. The best thing about having Lala is…

That she never bails on an adventure. I can always count on her for company, and for that I’m so grateful and my heart is happy. 💖
