Juniper is one year old. Her birthday is April 1st

♡ How did you become best friends?

I brought Juniper home when she was only five weeks old. We bonded over marshmallows and peanut butter.

♡ Can you tell us a bit about life with the happiest fox!

While living with Juniper isn't always the easiest, you can't help but love her. Everything she does she does with a wagging tail and a smiling face! She adores her buddy Moose our malamute mix. She spends all day flirting with him and trying to get his attention. Then spends the rest of her time leaning against me or hopping on my back interested in whatever I'm doing.

♡ We love that you inform people about the more unusual traits about having a fox as a best friend on your Instagram feed, can you tell us a bit more so that our readers can understand how life with a fox really is.

The most common misconception people have is that foxes are just like dogs, or a dog and cat mix. Don't get me wrong, she's all fun and games for the most part, but she has her moods. She's still a fox and I respect her for what she is. Just because she enjoys a Puppuccino every now and again doesn't mean she doesn't need a special diet or that I can treat her like a dog.

Dogs and cats have been domesticated for so much longer, they want to please people. Foxes one the other hand are prone to biting and destructive behavior. They require an extensive amount of time and care to get them to the point where they are even sociable. They require permits to own and are illegal in most places. Most are skittish, they bite, they smell horrid, they pee on everything, and their favorite thing to do is tear stuff up.

♡ What is the sweetest thing your bestie does?

Everyday when I get home she runs up to the front door and greats me with her tail wagging frantically making "happy sounds" that sound a lot like an excited baby. She does this until I pick her up and hold her for a while. I have to spend the next ten minutes walking around with her in my arms baby talking to her, until she's satisfied.

♡ What is the naughtiest thing Juniper has done?

Juniper turned our couch into her very own den by hollowing out the inside. It has an entrance and two exits. One straight through the top. It's pretty hilarious when new people come over and Juniper pops out of the couch to greet them.

♡ What is feeding time like?

Foxes need a special diet. They must be fed some raw meats and bone content in order to get the nutrients they need. Juniper is trained to walk into her kennel and sit for her dinner (which she gets extremely excited about). Food is her absolute favorite thing.

♡ Where does Juniper sleep?

Juniper sleeps in the bed with my boyfriend, myself and Moose. Moose likes to lay in the middle and Juniper likes to sleep on top of him.

♡ What is a typical day like?

A typical day is full of playing and running around. Foxes are extremely high energy and Juniper loves to run around the yard and back and forth through the house at high speed. Everything she does is somehow turned into a game of chase. Once she's finally calm she heads straight for her den.. I mean the couch.
