It's Turtle-y Awesome! 🐢

Our latest launch was inspired by beautiful and endangered sea turtles! They may be slow, but they can make you fall in love faster than you’ll know! There are so many reasons why turtles are awesome. So get ready to fall in love and be amazed by these beautiful creatures. 🐢

Female turtles may travel all year round but when it's time to lay their eggs they return to the same nesting grounds where they were born. Amazing isn't it?

As mentioned above, turtles return to the same beach they were born on. So how do they find it among the millions of beaches in the world? Sea turtles can detect the Earth's magnetic field and they use it as a compass. So they know how far they are from the birth nest and will know how to return.

They're the oceans' lawnmowers. Sea turtles have a more plant based diet and eat seagrass. By maintaining the seagrass short, they prevent the sea grass from getting tall and harming other marine creatures.

It's survival of the fittest for the new hatchlings. They are super cute but unfortunately only one hatchling in thousand will make it to adulthood.

The gender of turtles depends on the temperature of the nest. Higher temperatures produce more females and lower temperatures produce males. Climate change greatly affects turtle species to hatch more females resulting in not enough males being born.

Turtles have been around for a very, very long time. They have been around for 215 million years. That makes them one of the oldest creatures on the planet. Which means they once shared the planet with the dinosaurs which became extinct around 65 million years ago.
